Changing Lives - The power of a "living benefit"

Once Upon a time, I, Thongkhoun Pathana, I was a student, advisor, designer for his temple and life agent in Rhode Island when I had the privilege of visiting my revered teacher, Master Monk Phra Ajanh Bounthanh Prasavath. During our meeting, I shared with him the benefits of our company's life insurance policies, which not only provided coverage upon death but also offered living benefits. Recognizing the value of this protection, the Master purchased a policy.
Tragically, less than two years later, Phra Ajanh Bounthanh was diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully, our policy allowed him to receive living benefits, which he used to support his family during his illness.
As his agent and student, I was deeply moved by this experience. It wasn't just about earning a commission; it was about helping my teacher and community leader secure his family's future. Phra Ajanh Bounthanh's passing on February 27th, 2022, during the COVID-19 pandemic, was a tremendous loss for our community.
But his legacy lives on through the living benefits policy. His family continues to receive support, and his impact on our community remains strong. As a former CIA operative in Laos during the Vietnam War, Royal Army veteran, CIA operative, and POW, Phra Ajanh Bounthanh's journey was marked by resilience and dedication. After the war, he became a Buddhist monk and community leader, devoting his life to supporting children's education, cultural preservation, and religious leadership.
His story serves as a testament to the power of living benefits and the importance of preparing for life's uncertainties. I am honored to have played a small part in his journey and to continue sharing his legacy with others.
